Food and drinks at VIA Antwerp
Food and drinks at VIA Antwerp, in short
Food and drinks at VIA Antwerp means one address: MEA, our restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The cards below walk you through it, from breakfast to dinner to the cocktail bar, each with its hours and what the kitchen does at that time of day. They are for guests upstairs and for anyone in Zurenborg after somewhere worth going. Book a room and eat downstairs.
Food and drinks through the day at MEA
Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:30 Monday to Friday, and a half hour longer at the weekend, from 07:00 to 11:00 on Saturday and Sunday. From Tuesday to Saturday the kitchen keeps going through the day: there is always something to order, snacks or something small, and the bar plates run between 12:00 and 22:00. Enough to sit out an afternoon over a coffee without ever leaving the ground floor.
Dinner is Tuesday to Saturday, 18:00 to 22:00, when chef Omri McNabb cooks modern Eastern Mediterranean with Greek, Portuguese and Italian accents. The bar stays open from 07:00 to 23:00 Tuesday to Friday, and on Saturday until midnight, with cocktails by Jonathan Scheerlinck. On Sunday and Monday the morning belongs to breakfast and coffee until 12:00, and after that you are welcome to stay for a drink or to work.
MEA, our restaurant and bar
From breakfast to dinner, all on the ground floor of VIA Antwerp.
MEA is both restaurant and bar, and it sits on the ground floor of VIA Antwerp, open to anyone, not only to guests upstairs. Omri McNabb, who cooked at The Palomar in London, runs the kitchen; Jonathan Scheerlinck is behind the cocktails. One room, one counter, all day long.

Stay the night, eat downstairs
Staying here puts dinner just downstairs. Check in from 15:00, drop your bag, and the evening is a staircase away rather than a tram ride. Breakfast runs from 07:00, so an early train is no reason to skip it, and check-out at 11:00 leaves room to eat slowly first. Antwerp Central Station is a six-minute walk, which makes this an easy base for a day in the city and an easier return at night.
There are 176 rooms across seven types, from twins for friends travelling together to the Family Room and the Junior Suite, each with air conditioning, a flat-screen with streaming and a rain shower. Rates start from 94 euro per night, including taxes and fees. Have a look at all our rooms, pick the one that suits your trip, and let food and drinks at VIA Antwerp be the part of the day you do not have to plan.
