A design hotel in Zurenborg
VIA Antwerp is a four-star design hotel in Zurenborg, the Art Nouveau quarter of Antwerp. In April 2026 its interior won Best Hotel Design of the Year at the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam, credited to designer Merav Bustan. Behind the facade you find 176 rooms in seven types, a lobby where you are welcome to work, and MEA, the restaurant on the ground floor.
Designed by Merav Bustan, inspired by Zurenborg
Merav Bustan Design Studio in Berlin took its cues from Zurenborg. The curves, colours and craft of the Art Nouveau and Belle Epoque houses of Zurenborg were given a contemporary translation indoors. The result is an interior that does not try to be neutral. Rich materials, strong colours and playful details run from the lobby all the way up to the rooms.
Local art hangs throughout the building, with work by Sanah Fransen, Lene Thys, Maarten Denaeyer and Katrien Vandecruys. It gives VIA Antwerp the kind of signature a design hotel should have, one that belongs to this city and this street. Dinner and cocktails at MEA
From breakfast to dinner, all on the ground floor of VIA Antwerp.
MEA is the restaurant and bar on the ground floor, open to hotel guests and to anyone else. Chef Omri McNabb, formerly of The Palomar in London, cooks modern Eastern Mediterranean, with dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Jonathan Scheerlinck wrote the cocktail list.

Seven room types, one signature
The rooms follow the same design. A Deluxe Queen Room or a Superior King Room gives you 20 m², the Junior Suite 30 m² with a lounge and a king-size bed, and the Family Room 40 m² over two spaces for four guests. Every room has air conditioning and a rain shower, and the wifi is free throughout the building. Compare all seven on the rooms page.

Yes. MEA, the restaurant and bar on the ground floor, is open to everyone, whether you sleep upstairs or not. Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:30 on weekdays and from 07:00 to 11:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Each of the seven room types has its own layout, from bunk beds in The Crew Room to a lounge in the Junior Suite. The interior comes from the same studio throughout, so the colours and materials of Merav Bustan return in every room.
Direct trains run from Brussels Airport to Antwerpen-Centraal in 34 to 37 minutes. From the station you can walk to the hotel, or take tram 24 to the stop Joe English - Collegelaan.
